Size and Fit Guide

Use this guide to choose the right saree length, blouse sizing, and fabric meterage for kurtas, lehengas, and sherwanis. Measurements can vary by drape style and tailor preference – share this sheet with your master for final cutting.

1. Saree length guide

Height range	Recommended saree length	Notes
4’10” – 5’2″	5.0 to 5.3 metres	Standard drape with blouse and petticoat
5’3″ – 5’6″	5.5 metres	Most common retail length on KashiFab
5’7″ – 5’10”	5.5 to 6.0 metres	Add length for seedha pallu or layered pleats
5’11” and above	6.0 to 6.5 metres	Consider wider borders and extra pleat volume

Bridal and heavy-zari sarees often need an extra 0.3-0.5 metre depending on pleat count and pallu style.

2. Blouse measurements

Measure over a well-fitted inner garment. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

Bust: fullest part across the back
Underbust: directly below bust line
Waist: natural waist
Shoulder: seam to seam across back
Armhole depth: shoulder tip to underarm
Sleeve length: shoulder to wrist with arm slightly bent
Blouse length: shoulder base to desired hem

For pre-stitched blouses listed on KashiFab, refer to the product size chart in the listing. For blouse fabric, 1.0 to 1.2 metres is typical for standard sleeves; 1.3 to 1.5 metres for puff or embellished sleeves.

3. Kurta / suit fabric meterage

4. Dupatta and stole sizing

Standard dupatta lengths are 2.2 to 2.5 metres. For bridal volume or double-scarf styling, choose 2.75 to 3.0 metres.
