What colour stories and borders are you seeing most for wedding and festive wear this season?
Tell us what you love in red-gold classics versus softer ivory and champagne looks.
Ivory with antique gold border still feels timeless for mehendi and reception when the bride wants something quieter than red. Soft pink champagne is also getting more requests this year.
In the UK, guests often want lighter sarees they can wear to daytime wedding functions. Red-gold is classic, but forest green with copper zari has been popular with my circle lately.
Singapore weddings are usually air-conditioned indoors, so heavier wedding weaves are fine. I still avoid overly stiff borders if the wearer needs to walk a lot during the ceremony.
For family shopping we compare border width first, then pallu density. A clean but rich pallu photographs better than random heavy all-over work, at least for our clients.
